The Phalaenopsis (moth orchid) is one of the most popular orchids to grow indoors. It is native to Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and southern China.

They grow very well in centrally heated rooms and produce flowers all year round. The flowers last up to 3 months long.

Their popularity is due in part because they are easy to grow, they do well under artificial conditions, and they are very beautiful flowers.

If you look closely, the middle of the flower looks like the head of a moth, with the pedals representing the wings of a moth.
